Horticultural 'French' Crates -

We were recently asked by a national supplier of Ornamental Trees to design an alternative to the Horticultural 'French' Crates that are available second-hand.

He was having problems sourcing a constant supply of crates and when he did buy them they often needed re-working before they were in a 'usable' condition. And, as an internet business, dispatch delays are especially critical.

So, utilising the many years of experience of the nurseryman, and our crate design know-how, we came up with several designs of crate for all sectors of the Horticultural industry.

When designing the new crates he gave us several design requirements:

• Lightweight yet very strong
• Quick and simple to use
• Offer a variety of shelf heights and locations
• Flat packed to keep delivery transport costs down
• Stackable when full
• Okay to be stored outside
• Cost effective

And, through the new designs we created, we believe we have achieved all those requirements.

Our Current Range of Stock Crates

• 1.8M crate - Designed to carry taller ornamental plants. Six shelves and a lid can also be added to this crate if required.
  
  
  1.0M crate - Designed to carry smaller plants and double stack in Lorries to reduce your transport bill. As well as double stacking, you can also add up to six shelves giving you excellent plant capacity per crate. Note: Although we call it the 1.0M crate it’s actually 910mm high.
  
  
  48'' x 48'' Sedum Crate - Designed to carry 12 x (24'' x 48'') trays, again designed to be dispatched two high in a lorry.
  
  
  Point of Sale Crate - Currently under development.
